Gymkana Flip-A-Thon
Nov. 8, 2008, 2:00PM
University of Maryland College Park, Room 1120 Building 255
Gymkana will hold its annual Flip-A-Thon event on November 10th at 2:00pm in room 1120 of the School of Public Health Building. It will be a fun-filled event open to the public, offering free beverages, games, raffles, entertainment and more! The fundraiser will run in a similar fashion to a Jump-Rope-For-Heart. Two teams of Gymkana members will compete to successfully complete as many flips they can off a Double Mini Trampoline within 10 minutes. Both teams´ flip count will then be combined and that total will count toward the fundraiser. The generous people who wish to donate to Gymkana through this event will pledge a certain amount (i.e. 1¢, 2¢, 5¢, or 10¢) per flip completed. Flat donations are also accepted and appreciated.
Now in its 63 rdyear here at the University of Maryland, the Gymkana troupe looks to you for support. As a non-profit organization, Gymkana must perform fundraisers such as this to cover the expenses of its practice and performance seasons.
If you are unable to attend the event, but would still like to donate to our cause, please contact Mr. Scott Welsh.
Gymkana thanks you in advance for your generous support and invites you to come see the event in person!
This is an activity of the University of Maryland Foundation. All funds will be administered for the benefit of the University of Maryland Gymkana Troupe by the University of Maryland Foundation.
